IRO is a grassroots, community-based, and youth-led organization that prioritizes educating, inspiring, and encouraging people to take an active part in community actions. To achieve this long run goal, IRO focuses on developing youth capacities and guiding them to show their potentials and in this regard, Youth for Climate Action YCA has been created to work on climate initiatives that aim to improve the environmental conditions in the Kurdistan Region. Since YCA is at the heart of IRO's mission, the organization acknowledges the critical role they play.  
The Youth for Climate Action engage in a variety of initiatives, including data collection, research, advocacy, awareness campaigns, and media production projects. The YCA plays a key role in planning and overseeing a wide range of initiatives that support sustainable environmental change.
The YCA hopes to increase its influence by extending their activism to a larger geographic region. They intend to carry out more comprehensive projects and activities with the goal of gaining more influence on the community and making a bigger impact on environmental enhancement.
